Joey Dorsey... Tiger on the run?

Tigers star… Tigers big man… but not big enough to take responsibility for the trouble he starts?  That seems to be the picture that’s coming into focus at the moment.

Dorsey’s name keeps coming up in reports of bar fights, but he’s always long gone by the time the cops get there.  Looks like the same with the fight at Plush Club.  Eyewitnesses accounts indicate it was Dorsey who started the trouble when he jumped on a bar inside the club.

This time though, it looks like he took off while a couple of his fellow players caught the handcuffs.  Now, that should do wonders for team play.

What's your take on all this?

Why have we not heard about any other people involved in this bar fight? Leave these boy's alone. The media is always tring to stir up trouble. If there are any issues, John Calaperi will handle these boy's. Let's pull together for this team and this city. Our Tigers have a chance to do something great this year. The media needs to focus on that. The charges that are pending don't even make a good story. Leave them alone. There are always two sides to every story. If it were you or I in that fight, it would have never made it to the press. The boy's never fought or struck at another person. How funny is that for a story. Let's get the real criminals off the street.

Once again I am let down by my fellow students at the U of M. I am proud of the Tiger Basketball program but, just like the mayor, I'm also fed up with the irresponsible actions that most respected people in Memphis society take. It's time for some growing up around here. If that cannot happen, it's time for some replacements. No matter how far they take the basketball program, at least they will be productive members of society.

Once again the tiger basketball players are in trouble with the law.  Think about it all most every player on the team has a police record.  Coach Cal when are you going to step in and take charge of your team, maybe its time to lay down some tougher rules since your players don't know how to care themselves like men, grow up guys.  You stand a good chance of doing something great this season don't let it be over shadowed by your off court acts.

This is sad in many ways. These "boys" are not considering the future they could have, instead living up in the moment. Someone, like the coach should explain to them they have alot of people behind them, a entire city to be exact. In the city and the stands to watch the tigers play are young children whom may have the hopes and dreams of being in thier shoes someday. What about the example you are setting to these kids????  Coach, get these guys in check, put some ground rules down. "Nothing illegal" or you don't play. Lets let the tigers do what we all know they can do, lets lead them and they can lead us to a championship.

I think this is due to Joey spending more time with other things and not being focused. He has a child and is more concerned with having fun and showing off. He should take care of his kid and do the right thing ans stay out the clubs.. but that will be hard because that would mean he can't get attention.
