Thanks for your informative blog. I actually just started working for RepsForRent 3 weeks ago, and wanted to do some research on them. I was just curious. I did receive my first check yesterday for $462, so I guess I finally found one that is "For Real".

Thanks for the comment. Yes, there are some legitimate mystery shopping companies, but very few. Most of them are SCAMS. If anyone and I mean, anyone, asks you to pay a dime to become a mystery shopper, DON'T DO IT!

Mystery shopping - well folks - it WORKS, but as Cameron says - do NOT pay anyone for the information - EVAH!! Go to www.volition.com, and you'll find a whole lot of companies listed under Mystery or Secret shopping. For over 10 years, I've shopped hotels, restaurants, CASINOs, gas stations, banks, apartments, etc. You won't make a lot of money, but you'll basically get FREE services at all of the mentioned businesses, or a nice fee, if no service or product is acquired. What YOU pay is your TIME and your filling out of reports. The more accurate and objective you are, the more gigs you'll get.
I slowed down in doing my shops, simply because I have a good full-time job now.
I DO miss some of the shops, though -

I had heard about the West corporation from a friend but was hesitant to try it, it just thought it was a scam, but my sister told me about this blog and I was so happy to see west listed, I went ahead and tried it. I got my first paycheck yesterday. Thank You, so much.

I have worked for west for over a year and they are the real deal, I get paid every 2 weeks ontime and I've never had an issue with them.

Cammeron some of these were asking for background check fee is that normal or
should we trust. They are in your list. Is it okay to give these companies you have listed credit card #'s etc for that information? If they want you to work you would think they'd pay for it..

Thank you for the insight on legitimate work at home jobs. I have been employed with West for 3 months now and it is GREAT. As to Nancy Pancratz's question about paying for a background check, it is okay to give your information and pay for the check. Liveops charges $30 for a background check and they charge because many people try to do this work but they have a criminal background and this company is probably tired of paying $30/person when many of them do have criminal backgrounds and Liveops loses the $30. If you have to pay for the check then 9 times out of 10 you will not apply if you have a criminal background. But that is the only fee you pay. West at Home is the only one I've noticed that doesn't charge for a background and you get paid while you train.

Thanks again Cameron, Liveops turned out to be a legitimate and reputable company to work for. I've been working for them for 5 months now, although I don't have much time to, even part-time then I thought I would. I agree with Keva Thomas about LiveOps, they do charge a $30 fee for the background & criminal check. And that is to weed out those criminals or someone with bad credit. I was skeptical but they turn out to be ok. Now, I'm looking for something with just taking orders or information and not really having to do the upsells. If anyone know of one the companies that are doing that, let me know. I'm not so great with sells.

Hello All. I was recently hired by WEST. For those of you that apply with them and use your yahoo e-mail address, beware because their responses will more than likely go into your BULK e-mail instead of your main one. If you are anything like me, I normally just delete everything in it without looking at them because there are always so many. So I applied using another e-mail address and I was responded to in a matter of a week or so. Does anybody know anything about liveops?

I worked for GeeksOnTime. When I initially accepted the job offer, I was pleased that I could find no negative media, and that their past Better Business Bureau Complaint had been successfully resolved. This is a company that has won several awards, and been established for some time. However, I have been in a payment dispute for weeks with them. I am not the only person that this has happened to. They may have employees on staff who are receiving regular paychecks. But, I think other people should be aware that if they work with GeeksOnTime, they shouldn't count on being paid.

Hi Cameron please past this along to people that are looking for companies that are real work at home jobs these two weblinks have some companies on them www.worldwideworkathome.com, and the other one is www.ratracerebellion.com. These two links have companies that do hire people to work from home and are honest companies to work for not scams.
