The Turleys have a great scam going on downtown - taking over public housing for a song and building nice new houses.  In return for the property they create a "diverse" neighborhood by selling some of the houses for a song to minorities.  They make sure the minorities that buy in can't afford it and repo the house and sell it for full value to whitey!

Unfortunately the displaced people are being moved out to the low clas cracker neighborhoods in the government funded section 8 neighborhood destruction program.  Turley gets rich - your neighborhood goes in the $#!tter.

Bruce lives on Cherry Rd between Poplar and Southern. It's a small older home that's probably worth between 400 & 500 thousand. Judging from his home I would not say he is very wealthy.

What has been reported so far is that he did get an opinion from the Shelby County Attorney ( Brian Kuhn ) that the consulting arrangement as presented was legal.
Also he did not vote on awarding the contract. Those are some of the few facts the public has been made aware of. It seems to me that some of the elements here that we don't know , and that are crucial to the case, is what exactly was done for the consulting fee. Did money go to buy votes ? Then some people are in serious trouble.  We'll see as the facts come out.

Would Brian Kuhn not be culpable if this were the case?  I just think Bruce Thompson knew EXACTLY what he was doing and knew it was not right.  It does not pass the smell test when you are giving money to someone's campaign and then bidding on a contract.  Thompson may be a crook, but he's not stupid.  What about Wanda Halbert?  Looks like she may be in deep crap too.  Both of these people KNEW the law and flouted it so that one could gain power, the other money.
