Speak Up! Memphis

Witness Interviews Conducted By Attorneys Representing DeAunta Farrow’s Mother

A DVD was released by the local office of the National Action Network.

A spokesperson for Al Sharpton’s civil rights group says the interviews were conducted by the law firm representing DeAunta Farrow’s mother, Deborah Farrow.

According to the spokesperson, the interviews are with people who witnessed the shooting.

These interviews are not part of the Arkansas State Police Investigation.

What are your thoughts on these interviews? It is your turn to Speak Up! Mempis.

This seem like it would taint the jury pool in an already tainted town.  There is something wrong here, especially if there is "evidence (witnesses)" that have not ben interviewed by the police, something that Bailey claims is a fact , as well as witheld evidence (his claim).

I would depose the cops if I was her too.  I am strongly law and order but I realize that cops make mistakes and will not admit them. If I was her, I would want to look the cops in the eyes when they testified.

The kid was shot twice with a rifle by one and not shot at all by the other.  That being said I would wager the cop's story is pretty close to right here. I bet he did grab the toy gun.  The other kid said that he was saying it was a toy.

If they sue in Federal Court I don't believe the jury will be selected in West Memphis.

I miss the old anonymous posting.  I must have missed where people got out of hand (unless they were referring to me).

True honest discussion must be quashed.  They need everyone on the same page here - White man bad, everyone and thing else good.

I will post until I am banned

DeAunta's Mother has been spending alot of time on her sons death.......Why wasn't she spending that time with him in his life??  WHERE  was she when he was out on the street so late at night...instead of safe in the house??  There would have been no need for these interviews..

You are also forgetting the point that this child was out late at night, unsupervised, pointing a gun at a police officer.  Toy or no toy, that officer had to make a split second decision based on what he could see.  What he saw was a person pointing a gun at him and he shot him.  It's a sad, sad thing for his mother to live with, but where was she?  Why wasn't this boy home in bed?  And I have sadness for that officer who must feel terrible that he killed a young boy.  There is plenty of blame to go around, but these idiots like Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson who have nothing better to do than to come down here to incite the black people to march and spew hatred should be ashamed of themselves.  Why aren't they helping people to educate themselves, get off drugs, get jobs, and be better Christians?  They just perpetuate the problems and don't help to solve anything.

East Memphis- Looking at the scene photos those shell casing are not rifle cases...clearly .40 S&W or 9mm pistol cases. Otherwise I agree with ya. If the lawsuits are filed in Fed court the 3 locations are West Helena, Jonesboro, or Little Rock. They select their juries in those areas.

Why isn't DeAunte's Mother's attorney being arrested for obstruction of justice? If ha has the evidence ha claims to have, Why didn't he provide it to the prosecutor? To anyone else that would be with holding evidence. As I understood it the child had the gun in his waist band,so the little orange tip was hidden. I hate to bring up race, but it seems to me that a white cop shot a black child and the lawyers and Al Sharpton smelled greenbacks. If I am wrong I hope that the ladie's attorney is disbarred.

But the eye witnesses stated they were rifles.........
3 shots vs  4 shots vs 2 shots
in the truck vs jumping out of the truck
moved the body vs turned the body over
toy gun vs chips vs cassette player
walk to store vs walk from store
saw the shots vs looked when heard shots
rifle vs pistol
soda bottle still have some soda in it .....

I also thought it funny to hear J. Bailey say he was going to have to bring in other lawyers once the feds declined to charge the officer. Whats the matter Mr. Bailey, don't have the chops to try the case if no one makes your case for you? Sounds the Farrows may have made a poor choice in counsel...but then I already suspected that. I was also interested to hear how the witness was questioned without his father present, yet there he is on video in the interview room. Nice how shysters can subborn perjury without consequence...but then since lawyers designed our legal system (notice I don't consider what we have a justice system, because it isn't) it would stand to reason they would insulate themselves from any accountability for their actions.

lets say it was a black cop his name and picture would have been out that night. he would have been off without pay. the investagation would have taken 3 weeks and the city would have settle out of court and the officer would have been convicted by a grand jury all before september.(if he was black)
