Munford, TN - The Tipton County Sheriff’s Department says a man, who raped his 17 year-old daughter as “punishment”, is now charged for raping his 16 year-old daughter as well.

Detectives say the father would force the 16 year-old to perform sexual acts when she would get into trouble at school or when he was “stressed out”.  According to investigators, the man was arrested on charges of rape and incest of his 17 year-old daughter.  He had been raping her as “punishment” since November 2007, according to police.

The Tipton County Sheriff’s Department started a manhunt for the father on February 25, 2008.  Investigators say he tried to hide out in a wooded area near his home and in various locations in the Frayser and Raleigh areas of Shelby County.

The man was taken into custody late Wednesday afternoon, February 27, when he called investigators wanting to turn himself in.

Investigators say the father is now charged with Rape, Incest, and Battery by An Authority Figure for forcing the 16 year-old to commit the sexual acts.
