Man Found Shot at Oak Court Mall Parking Garage

MEMPHIS, TN - Shoppers found a man who had been shot, sitting in the passenger seat of a car in an Oak Court Mall parking garage.

According to investigators, shoppers found the victim around 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008.  Police say the man was shot twice, but it did not happen at Oak Court Mall.  They believe the shooting actually happened at a McDonald’s several miles away, on Getwell Road, near I-240.  The shooters then took the victim and his bullet riddled car to the Oak Court Mall parking garage and left them there, according to police.

Shoppers say when they tried to leave the mall, they were startled to see their cars in the middle of a crime scene.  Leslie Webster says her children were in the mall when the victim was found.  She says, “it’s real scary. It’s real scary.  I hate that things have gotten so bad.”  She went on to say, “I’m just glad they were inside the mall and they weren’t outside when this happened, cause you never know.”

Police are looking at mall surveillance video to figure out who left the man behind.  According to investigators, the suspected shooters are driving a green Cadillac DeVille.

Getwell Road, near I-240? That's not a location you want to be during daylight hours and never at night. But, that goes for most areas in Memphis.

this is a very serious matter especially when u know the person it happened to. why are you guys making a joke of this? you dont know the whole story and people are hurt over this, and all you can do is make jokes? get a life.  and by the way, no one really "dropped a hammer" because he made it through!

Agreed.

Someday for giggles you ought to compare the inflated number of people that "civil rights activists" say were lynched to the number of blacks killed in ONE YEAR by other blacks over some act of "disrespect" or some other thing of similar importance.

Blacks were far better off before welfare destroyed the black males place in the family.  The black family has basically been utterly destroyed.

Blacks were better off when whites were actively trying to hinder blacks with "Jim Crow" laws.  You know blacks survived hundreds of years of the vilest racism and slavery with lower losses than you see today.

The KKK was a beneficial force compared to your own youth.

Although we are of different races we should be sticking together. A bullet doesn't have a name , race, creed, or color on it. Anyone of us could be next. We could be on your way to work, a person could be attempting to commit suicide and shoot us instead or anything. It is a shame that we as people are so ignorant and selfish. One day the same could happen to you or your loved one. Grow up people! We need to pray for not just ourselves but our fellow man/woman. Think about it, your children hear what you are saying, and they see your actions. We never know when our last day will be. God knows all and see all. When God judges us based on our actions in our lives, we should want him to say well done My child, welcome Home. If we continue to argue with on another things will only get worse. You all should read the book "A Divine Revelation of Hell." I read this book and it was a wake up call for me. You can read parts of this book online. Please everyone wake up.
