Memphis, TN --A fight involving a man and his girlfriend turned into a shootout between neighbors in Frayser that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened around 1:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 455 Burlington Circle.  That's near the intersection of Benjestown Road and Marsh Avenue.

Police said a woman ran to a neighbor's house after fighting with her boyfriend, Lacy White also known as "Lucky".  According to investigators, White followed her over to the neighbor's home and the situation was resolved peacefully. The woman left the scene and White returned to his house.  Then, according to police, White got his gun and opened fire on the neighbor from across the street. 

Investigators say White left the scene and was arrested a short time later after police searched the area with patrol cars and a helicopter.

White has been charged with aggravated assault.

The injured man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to non-critical condition.
