3RD Graders Accused of Plot to Kill Elementary Teacher in Georgia

Waycross, Georgia (CNN-WJXT) – Police say 11 children are accused of plotting to Hurt their 3rd grade teacher in Waycross, Georgia.

According to investigators, 11 of the 12 children in the special education class made detailed plans to kill the teacher.  A relative of the educator says each child had a specific task to perform, including one child to clean up the blood.

Investigators say a stake knife, paperweight, handcuffs, and gloves were among items confiscated from the students.  The alleged plot stemmed from an incident in which the teacher disciplined a student in the class for standing on a chair, say police.  Investigators say the children wanted revenge.

Police say one student ended the alleged plot by tipping off authorities.

The teacher is back in class at the school.

We had a similar problem teacher in grade school.

Sister Margret Rose.

5 foot tall about 90 pounds and mean as a snake.

We didn't dare thinking about killing her. She could get you standing on your tip toes when she got you by the short hairs and when that ruler came out and you had to hold your hands against her desk . . . . .

Somebody would bust a cap in her today.  For some reason we just did what she told us.  Must have had a higher level of flouride in the water then.

no, it stems from all the drug their parents have taken. These kids today would just as well pop a few rounds of bullets in your head as to look at you. They are missing a few important particles of brain cells that we had.

Why is it that they just did'nt learn it from all these crime shows that are all over the t.v. CSI, Truecrimes, 48 hrs, etc...... the list is a mile long!

It's indicative of how the country, and society as a whole, has sunk to great depths in this country when a group of 3rd graders is plotting to kill their teacher.  Rome went this way, as have all great societies where perversion, murder, lack of values and morals is the norm.  Parents abdicate their authority.  Laws are neither respected nor enforced.  Real education in nonexistent.  Anarchy ensues and finally the complete breakdown of the society as a whole.  We are heading that way.

Sheesh, I sound like Chicken Little,"the sky is falling," but say it ain't so, Joe!

gmoney, it's most likely a combination of both.
Our parents were exposed to shows like The 3 Stooges and Bugs Bunny and war movies and Cowboy and Indian movies. They were able to distinguish between fact and fiction and what may hurt another person.
So, personally, I think drugs and booze and the environment that we live in today are all factors in these children’s behaviors, not just one, all and maybe even more.
We live in a society that coddles people instead of punishing them for misbehavior. Even Pavlov studied action/reaction.
We live in a time and country with a lot of double standards and oxymoronic laws.
A person can be arrested and jailed for leaving their child in a running car for 2 minutes, but our government doesn’t penalize anyone for being poor and raising their child in abject poverty.
The difference is that the mother with the child in the car has money and the other don't.

Did you read my post?  I certainly wouldn't call it calm.

How can you penalize someone for being poor?

Don't know if they were white - don't care - and Sister Margret Rose would snatch these punk 3rd graders about a foot off the ground by the hair on the back of their neck and then beat their knuckles blue.

Wow! A sane salient response! And true too.

BTW gmoney2u where do you stand on that boy who is getting charged for stopping his car from being broken into?

Reminds me of Lord of the Flies , No matter what the deed some people are followers and will do it. Third graders are under pressure to fit in like anyone else. I am curious to know if these 11 students were friends before or was this teacher one of the "hard ones" at school. I have had some teachers I wished dead before the next school day but I wouldn't organize my classmates. This is a scary example of the children of the future.

you cannot penalize someone for being poor, but in our country, our society, being poor may as well be a crime.
We have credit scores and interest rates and over draft fees, etc, etc that if you don't meet a standard, your penalized.
I also think that it's funny how our government says that every life is worth saving and we're trying to make people live longer, but on the other side, our government don't feel badly about letting jobs go to other countries, while were suffering with a financial crunch, our government is exporting jobs. Companies are laying off because of the "recession" that our president refuses to acknowledge. The cost of living is going up, up, up but pay is staying low. You go to find a job and companies only want to pay minimum wages.
So, in my point of view, people are disgusted with the state of affairs. I could be completely wrong, I don't know.

Take some time learn what controls our nation - it does not matter who you vote for now, other than the right to bear arms.

Learn why we almost were literally left with the cash in our pockets last week.  A depression is not a severe recession - they are fundamentally different.  We faced economic apocalypse for a few hours - had the herd bolted the wrong direction the results would have been an unimaginable, uncontrolable deflation of the M1, M2, and M3.  This is above many's heads here but those that can understand it need to. The hockey stick is forming.

This vastly underestimates what the failure of these banks would have meant.  The money supply could have contracted uncontrolably.  The Fed would have been unable to print enough money. It could have cascaded out of control.

First you have to cause a problem to fix it.  The result more power.  Bush (who I would have crawled over broken glass to vote for or rather against Kerry) is going to give the Fed power over the investment banks.

With Ron Paul out of the race - it is 6 of one a half dozen of the other.

I think all the stundents that were involved in plotting to shoot their teacher should be punshied and by their parents but by the state law. Even though they are in third grade they need to learn they can not go on doing what they were or did do.The parents need to be more of a parents and if we have to search theire back packs before they leave for school.

Datruth4u - Since you’re keeping up with my blog comments, you should know, I have not posted an opinion on ANY topic for several days. When I do post my opinion about crime, it does not matter to me if the thugs are white, black, green, or purple...they are worthless thugs.  Since race is obviously on your mind, complain to those who post the stories and mug shots. Those of us who post opinions  have nothing to do with the fact that the vast majority of news stories involving crime are black males.

In this case, no matter what race, these children need immediate attention. Even considering such a crime at that young age is ‘abnormal’. If  parents can’t or won’t control  their children, law enforcement should. Hopefully, my response gave you some insight into ‘your issues with race’ and you can refrain from making idle comments.

These children ganged together, made a plan of harm because they were mad for a righteous disciplinary action by the teacher.  They should be placed in a boot camp type of school for the rest of their educational life.  The parents of these children should be sent through rigorous parental training if they have or expect to have any more children.  They also should be expected to pay for any therapy required by that teacher for fears she may have or security she may feel needed from this terrorist plot.
This is an outrage to civil behavior.  I hope the prosecutor and judge are hard as nails.

Everyone seems shocked that 3rd graders could think this way. My wife taught in Frayser, and she was threatened by K5- 2nd graders. This isn't the first time kids this young have thought this way. In this case, the kids need help, and the parents need to go to prison for not teaching their kids about respect or just not teaching their kids about anything.
