I think the one who tried to flush the baby down the toilet and killed the baby in the process should be charged with first degree murder.
The one who left the stillborn baby in the trash can on the airplane should be charged with  destruction of a corpse.
Both these teens were old enough to know what they were doing having sex.  Both of them were old enough to know they were pregnant.  Both of them were old enough to know to seek medical attention during their pregnancies-and heaven knows there are plenty of services available.  There are plenty of couples so wanting babies to adopt.  Maybe that stillborn would have been alive under different circumstances.  That would have been two lives loved by two families grateful to have precious gifts from God...not excretement to be flushed or trash to be thrown away.  That is the abortion generation mind set.

They should treat this as a homicide because it is murder. This 14 yr made the decision to have unprotected sex. She made the decision to kill her newborn. This is probably another case of now or later.  Had she not killed the newborn, it’s likely the child would have ended up dead from negligence or physical abuse before the age of three. For some unknown reason, children today are severely lacking in morals and common sense. Teens need to realize it’s not okay to live like animals, breed like animals, and kill their babies like animals

I disagree that the problem is a minor having a baby and not that she ended a baby's life.  It is absolutely both problems, but the fact is, minor or not, this person committed murder.  She should be punished.  She is old enough to understand that attempting to flush your new born baby down the toilet is WRONG.
