MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis Police have ruled the city's 50th homicide justified. Police say a security guard shot and killed a man in the parking lot of Tony's Bar & Grill in Southeast Memphis around midnight, Tuesday, April 8, 2008.
The security guard told police a customer, Andre McLaren, 38, had become unruly inside the bar and was escorted outside. The guard said McLaren got into his SUV and began doing "donuts" in the parking lot and said McLaren appeared to aim the SUV in his direction. The security guard shot McLaren, and the SUV came to a rest up against a light pole.
