Memphis, TN -- According to published reports, Tigers’ point guard Derrick Rose is one and done. Rose who helped lead the Tigers to the NCAA Championship Finals, will reportedly sign with agent Arn Tellem, meaning he will forgo his remaining three years of college eligibility. Rose led the Tigers in assists and was second in scoring this past season. He’s projected by several scouting services, including nbadraft.net as the number one pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
The Tigers could also lose shooting guard Chris Douglas-Roberts. The team’s leading scorer is also considering skipping his senior year to take a shot at the NBA. CDR is projected to be a middle-to-late first round pick. A decision from CDR is expected within the next two weeks.
Memphis finished the season 38-2 and lost to Kansas in overtime in the NCAA Championship game, 75-68.
