Memphis, TN - Memphis Police say two people are dead after five separate shootings that happened in just three days.
According to investigators, the two homicides happened on Friday, April 18, 2008. Police say Mario Tate, a father of five, was shot and killed in Binghampton. Police say a robbery at Tate’s home could be a possible motive.
Tate’s friends and family created a makeshift memorial, where he was found shot, to honor him.
"[Mario Tate was a] Nice person, nice person. Worked, took care of his kids and everything. He just a nice person back here," said Brenda Dorsey, a friend of Tate’s.
Police have not yet made an arrest in this case.
Police say Cedric Singleton, 38, was the second homicide on Friday. Investigators have not made an arrest in Singleton’s case either, but say that investigation is ongoing.

"I was sleep and my neighbor across the street said someone got shot on the side of my truck, so I came out. He had got shot two times," Neil added.
Police said the shooting there happened shortly after a fight between several people. Police say the victim was sent to the hospital in non-critical condition. As of Sunday, police did not make any arrests and said the investigation continues.
In a separate shooting on Saturday, two men ended up in the hospital in stable condition, according to investigators. Police say the men were shot at a home in Oakhaven. Police say the victims know their shooter. The investigation into this shooting remains ongoing as well, said police.
