Toddler Killed in Hit and Run; Police Search for Driver

Blood and gloves remain on the scene of a hit and run that killed a Memphis Toddler.Memphis, TN - Memphis police are working to enhance surveillance video taken from a business that was near a hit and run that killed a toddler.

The hit and run happened around 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, in the parking lot of a laundry mat in the 13-hundred block of Getwell near Fizer.

Investigators say the toddler was with his father when a silver Ford Expedition backed into the boy, killing him.

Police are still looking for the the SUV involved.

The question again is where were the parents at the time of this traumatic event. Parents need to stay involved with their children in the home instead of sending them out to the untrustworthy streets. I feel bad for the parents and I feel that this death would not have happened if only parents make efforts to involve themselves in their childs life.
