An ambulance prepares to transport a South Memphis man, who was shot during a robbery because he did not have any money, to the Med in critical condition.Memphis, TN -- Police say a South Memphis man was shot and taken to the Med in critical condition.

It happened early Tuesday morning, May 27, 2008, around 2:00 a.m. on the 2000 block of Airways Boulevard.

Memphis Police continue to search for the men that left another man injured with a gunshot wound to the thigh.

Police say two men approached two other men in the Rivertown Square apartment complex parking lot and demanded that they hand over all of their money.

According to police, when the two victims told the accused robbers that they didn't have any money, they got mad and shot one of the victims.

Police say the two guys took off on foot.

Investigators have been interviewing the victim who was not shot. They're having a problem getting details because there's a language barrier. They say they might have to bring in an interpreter to uncover all of the details in this shooting.

We need to help Ex-felons to get jobs. I'm not saying that to justify, what happend in this incident. I know it would be a great start in lowering crime. I been to prison and it is so hard for me to get work because of my felony conviction.  Even thougth it's over 14yrs ago, if it wasn't for my wife I don't know how I could sirvive out here. Every year hundreds of inmates are being released from prison,  over half of them are going back or dead because of them not having a chance to do the right thing. You know how the old saying goes. "If you do the crime you do the time". Now they have another saying, "No deal'. My question is after all the sayings is over, the time is finshed. What's Next? I did the crime and I served my time, but it seems like I'm still being punished for what I have all ready paid for.

rwe38133-First off, I don't think I go calling someone and idiot without checking my own grammar and spelling first. It really doesn't put much weight into you as a good source of knowledge and such.
Gibeno-I would have to agree with rwe on some of what he says. Its not societies responsibility to take care of you or give you anything. With that said, I don't think that is what you want. Just because one job denies a convict employment, doesn't mean they all do. With the unemployment rate being what it is, I'm sure there is a job out there for you. Go ask willie for a job. He likes to give crooks and people who deserve to be in prison, jobs.
Honestly, though, there is always a job. Just because you did time doesn't mean we have to erase it from our minds. Criminals shouldn't have it easy. They have it too easy already. I'm sure its no cakewalk, but prisoners have a better life than a lot of people on the outside. Thats why most criminals go back. They figure even if they do get caught it won't matter. Its not a bad life.
