MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis Police say a 16 year-old girl stabbed her boyfriend with an eyeliner pencil at Mitchell High School.
According to investigators, the incident happened around 10:45 a.m., June 19, 2008.
Police say the 16 year-old girl got into a fight with her 16 year-old boyfriend and started hitting him with the pencil. Detectives say the boy was cut several times on the left wrist and the face. He was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in non-critical condition.
The 16 year-old girl was taken into custody for domestic violence, according to police.
A spokesperson for Memphis City Schools tells Eyewitness News Everywhere that the teens are students in the MCS Extended School Summer Program. He says the two were “horsing around” when the girl accidentally cut the boy. The spokesperson went on to say the girl told school officials that she did not mean to do it.
