MEMPHIS, TN – Investigators say a man has been charged after he tried to steal a Memphis Police Officer’s gun while threatening to kill as many people as possible, including police.
According to investigators, officers received a call about a man who was threatening to kill a woman during an argument over the custody of their children. Police say the incident took place around midnight, Tuesday, July 2, 2008, in the 1300 block of Snowden. Detectives say when the officers arrived on the scene 27 year-old Marquis Jefferson was yelling that he was going to kill someone.
