NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Nashville arrested a man who called
911 and reported that he had raped his mental health case worker.
Police arrested 36 year-old Adrian Pettitt, charging him with aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping.
Investigators
said the 33 year-old case manager from Middle Tennessee Mental Health
Cooperative came to Pettitt's home Monday afternoon for a monthly visit
and was assaulted.
Police said Pettitt pulled a knife, forced the case worker into a bedroom, tied her with plastic cable ties and raped her.
The victim told police Pettitt then freed her, dialed 911 and reported what he had done and handed her the phone.
Police found the victim waiting outside Pettitt's home in her car. Pettitt waited inside the house.
