NASHVILLE, TN – Police say a 5 year-old Nashville boy was killed when a swing set fell on him.

Police say it happened at a home in Joelton, a suburb of Nashville, around 9:15 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2008.

The swing set was made of standard 4x4 wooden posts and was 14 feet wide and over 7 feet tall, according to police.

Investigators say 5 year-old Nathaniel Dickerson was the only one swinging on the set at the time of the accident.  The child’s mother and 7 year-old brother were nearby when the set fell, said police.

 Nashville Police say Nathaniel was taken to the Skyline Medical Center where he died from a head injury.
