MEMPHIS, TN – Eyewitness News Everywhere Uncovers Mid-South medical professionals who were caught behaving badly.
According to a disciplinary action report release by the State of Tennessee, some healthcare providers were caught doing drugs, stealing and some were even convicted in state and federal crimes.
According to state records, Memphis Nurse Gail Rasmussen’s license was suspended because of a history of Alcoholism. The state records say Rasmussen was convicted of drunk driving back in 2003. The documents show Rasmussen’s former employer suspected that she was drinking on the job. Rasmussen took a urine test that confirmed that she had been drinking, according to the records.
Kathryn Graves of East Memphis had her nursing license revoked for stealing thousands of dollars, according to the state report. Records state Graves admitted to stealing the money, which is a felony, and had to pay back more than $24,000.
Binghampton resident Karen Moore also had her nursing license revoked, according the state records. The document says Moore has a history of drug abuse and was even working while she was taking the drugs.
Those are just a few of the health care providers listed in the report.
