Man Arrested for Using Counterfeit Money in Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN – Police say a man has been arrested for using counterfeit $100 bills at downtown Memphis businesses.

According to investigators, Quincy Johnson has been arrested and charged with four counts of forgery of $1,000 or less.

According to the Memphis Police Department’s Incident Database, Johnson tried to use the fake money at: Alfred’s, Hard Rock Café, Dyer’s, Superior Bar, Tater Reds, and Strange\Cargo on Sunday, July 18, 2008.

Johnson is being held on $60,000 bond.
