JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - State workplace safety officials are investigating the death of a golf course worker in Jackson.
On Tuesday, the body of 62 year-old Vincent DeGaetano was found under a cart at Jones Creek Golf Course.
Police said it appeared the vehicle had flipped, pinning DeGaetano under it.
The course is owned by the city but operated by a private firm, Golf Links LLC, for which the victim worked.
Betty DeGaetano said her husband was laid off as a truck driver last fall and went to work at the golf course in May.
