Maybe Raines should be the next mayor. At least she knows how to follow the suggestions of the people she hires to give suggestions. Plus, the people she hires aren't best friends that just want a big contract and then say what the employer wants to hear. Imagine that, a leader that follows what is best for the community and not just for themselves.

This is one of the smartest things I have heard in a long time. Would an on campus stadium be nice? Sure. But, is it the smartest thing to do right now given the economy, lack of funding, etc? No.

Someone with this kind of intelligence is exactly who we need in the mayor's office. Someone willing to do the right thing, which is usually not the most popular.

But until the people of this city are intelligent enough to vote their idiotic mayor out of office because he has proven OVER and OVER that he does NOT care about the citizens of this city, well, those who voted for him are getting exactly what they asked for. I do feel sorry for those who didn't vote for him.

Who cares about an on campus stadium....They need to renovate The Coliseum or tear it down...Go Tigers!!!!!
