Golf Scramble to Benefit Cancer Patients and Families

Memphis, Tennessee, April 27, 2008.  The 6th Annual Wings Golf Scramble, presented by Commercial Bank and Trust Company, will be held at Cherokee Valley Golf Club on Friday, May 16 - 8:00am and 1:30pm Shotgun Starts.  The course, filled with rolling hills and eleven lakes, is not only welcoming to the amateur but also challenging for the professional.

The funds that are raised from this event allow the Wings Cancer Foundation to continue offering programs and services at no charge to those who are touched by cancer.  Programs like FormFitting which provides post mastectomy care items such as breast prostheses, mastectomy bras and wigs to women who might not otherwise be able to afford them.  Programs like Exercise, Yoga or Tai Chi.  Groups like Women with Wings for all women who are touched by cancer or Cancer Connection for men.  Services like individual support, crisis intervention, hospital visitation, nutrition counseling and much more.

Golf, sponsor or purchase a tee/green sign to celebrate the life of a loved one and help blanket the course with messages of hope.

Cherokee Valley Golf Club is located at 6635 Crumpler Blvd., Olive Branch.  For more information, call Wings Cancer Foundation – 901.322.2984.
