MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis and Shelby County Health Department's School Based Dental Program will be offering free dental exams and protective sealants for children ages 5-15 at two locations during the month of July. The services are free of charge. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have a signed parental consent form. Forms will be available at the following clinic sites.
Beginning Tuesday, July 1, 2008 through Friday, August 1, 2008 (Dental exams will NOT be done Friday, July 4, closed for the Holiday), dental clinics will be open at the following location Monday - Friday (except July 4), 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary.

Dental professionals will examine each child's teeth for signs of decay. They will also apply approved dental sealants to the chewing services of all molars and pre-molars to help prevent decay and cavities.
