Book a Tee Time for Mirimichi's Opening Day

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, July 9, 2009 - Beginning Wednesday, July 15, at 8 a.m., Mid-south area golfers will be able to make a reservation to play at Mirimichi, one of the most beautiful and unique public golf courses in the region on its opening day - Saturday, July 25.
Golfers can book online through Mirimichi's secure, easy and convenient tee time booking system. Reservations can also be made by calling the pro shop at 901-259-3800.
"We accept tee time reservations up to 10 days in advance of when you want to play," said Greg King, Director of Golf. "We anticipate there will be a lot of demand to play on opening day and recommend that people book online at 8 a.m. on Wednesday to avoid disappointment."
Mirimichi means 'place of happy retreat,' and a happy retreat is just what golfers will be able to experience opening day. Mirimichi has been designated as the first golf course in the country to be a Certified Audubon International Classic Sanctuary. Best management practices have been implemented to enhance and conserve nature by improving water quality and wildlife habitat, while reducing water and energy consumption.
Mirimichi is not only an environmentally-responsible golf course, but is a challenging course as well. Mirimichi offers more than 7,400 yards of challenging golf with deep pit bunkers, native grasslands and scenic landscaping. It boasts seven lakes, waterfalls and rolling streams that twist and turn.
