mrfrankmoore:I realize now that Officer Samis has resigned but I really can't say I wanted that to happen and I am african-american.
Too bad, too late now
I feel he should have had a mental evaluation.
He did
What is the real reason why he shot that small child? Did he really feel threatened or was the gun thing a cover up to shoot a 'black kid'? What is the ruling on the fatal shot? Why was the second shot fired?
They are required to shoot till the threat is eleiminated, bullets "usually" go "close" to where they are aimed from a service weapon. He couldn't have shot the gun out of his hand ala Lone Ranger style.
Are there rules to wounding a criminal or suspected criminal?
Yes, don't do it. If he is only wounded, the next shots the officer hears are the ones that will be at him and may kill him.
I feel that is why he is still being pursued. He did not have to shoot the child twice.
That is opinion based on ignorance of procedure
That is what the court case needs to be based on was proper procedure followed? That misunderstanding costed a 12 year old his life. Now his mother gone miss him but she shouldn't have let him walk to the store that late and let him play with guns, (if he had one). She needs to be evaluated for some kind of child neglect. Let's be fair and acknowledge all the guilty persons in this child's death. God Bless Us to learn from this sadness.
Yep.
