Upon purchasing the home at 6265 Kensington in Horn Lake, Mississippi in Dec. of 2004, Joel and Tamabra McClinton thought they had their dream home. With undisclosed information about the flooding problems on the house, the house flooded twice in a little over a months time. The City of Horn Lake claims the problem had been fixed after a prevous owner had flooded several times. Three days later the house flooded again. City officials claim that flooding was due to something stopping the drainage and this caused the house to flood. A lady with similar problems contacted us after the first flood on April 3rd. Afterwhich, she provided information about the house from an old July 22, 2003 DeSoto Appeal article. Upon flooding a month later, the city officials came to check out the problem. After the homeowners carefully inspected the house, mold and mildew was found in several rooms. We were told by neighbors that the house has been on the news stating that the problem was fixed. They said the pipes were not big enough to hold the amount of water flowing after a heavy rain. According to people in the area, this problem has existed for several years.
