We need to get the school board removed if that's what it takes to get that ridiculous budget under control!

The MCS school board needs to be abolished and the budget needs to be revised and lowered many hundreds of millions of dollars!

The largest structure on EARTH only cost $700 Million to build!
Going to OUTERSPACE costs $300 Million!

I asked a college principal in London England who is buying up colleges all over the world what they could do with a budget the size of the MCS budget. They said they could do more than the global work they're already doing by a long shot! I told them that was the Memphis City School budget, there was laughing at how "we the people" are being ripped off on a colossal scale!
The board members don't seem to make sense, they don't seem to use common sense.
The fact that they are only beholding to report to the state is very inappropriate.
It shows they need more local oversight and supervision.
Their system of administration and funding goes FAR BEYOND not making any sense.
The results speak for themselves.
I'm sorry to say but, for the results we are receiving from them via the graduation rate, literacy, and just what level of student we put out into the working world, it's very obvious we are being ripped off grossly. It doesn't pan out.
Here's what I've seen in poor neighborhoods in Memphis over the years:
1. Teachers are hired without degrees.
In an apologist sort of liberal "let them have non-degreed teaching staff" kind of way. The people think this is "payback for oppression", but it's not. It's self oppression.
It's a clever way for people to keep creativity out of school curriculum per commercial edict. They need more workers without brains. The people argued to get this so there's no one to blame but people who look like you who live next door.
2. Teachers never say anything against the school board as a matter of policy.
Why?
I have a theory.
3. Hide all the money trails and subvert reporting to local officials.
4. Subvert public reporting.
As long as the right hand doesn't know how much money the left hand is putting in the left pocket, the left hand will steal all the money it can and not be accountable at all.
As long as you can't tell what's going on for real, how will you stop them?

Who audits their process?
What is the name of the firm?
Have you seen any reports?

THAT IS WHAT IS GOING ON UNDER OUR NOSES WITH OUR MONEY, RIGHT NOW, TODAY!
They have no plans of doing things any other way!

The Memphis City School Board is killing us with pitiful results, no accountability, no reporting, no self analysis, no recourse, no ethics, no plans to do things any differently.

Here's what I think they will do:
They will have the search firm pick the best candidate, then they will go back to business as usual, then when the crap hits the fan because they got too greedy, they will blame the new superintendent.

There are so many multi-million and billion dollar scams going on in Memphis City Government and School Board that I think people get a job there and are told they will make a lot of money and keep their jobs if they keep their mouth shut.
Ask a teacher what is going on, without you having an agenda, especially if there is a problem and see what happens.

We the people are getting together and we will be expecting BIG changes or we will make them ourselves.
If the city government doesn't get on with this the citizens will and the city will be locked out.
