"Lost" is a great program but I was distracted every time you guys scrolled across the screen with your bright blue scroll! You were advertising the news and holding a contest and doing everything you could to get viewers to look at your scroll instead of allowing us to focus on the show. If you want to have a contest and give away DVDs of Lost, that's great. But please know that by interupting the show you are annoying the very people you are trying to appeal to with your contest. I have complained to ABC about this (and sent them a tape of your scrolls) because you are taking a show that they have put a lot of time and money into and you are completely ruining it! The timing of your last scroll during the most intense and dramatic moment of the show was unfair and obnoxious. I believe you are given advertising time in order to do self-promotions and I don't think it is right that you would interupt this show to advertise your news and your contests. If this keeps up I will not be watching the show when it airs on your station. I will instead download it so I will not have to be distracted by ridiculous scrolls like this:
"Girl who lost her father and siblings in Lester Street Massacre speaks out for the first time. That's tonight on Eyewitness News Everywhere at 10pm." Yeah, I know. You've been advertising that. NO NEED TO INTERUPT A DRAMATIC SHOW!
How about this great scroll: "Ready to be mad? See the latest on how the Memphis City Schools is wasting your money." That one wasn't even grammatically correct! And why, oh why was it necessary to interupt the program with that?
Does anyone at the station watch Lost? Do you realize how ridiculous your scrolls are? All you did was make me so mad that I changed channels immediately after Lost because I refuse to reward your bad behavior by watching your news program.
